EdwardRITCHIE - (INVERGORDON)Eddie passed away, suddenly at home, on Saturday 29th November 2025, aged 86 years.

Much loved husband of Marie, loving dad of Joyce, Lynda and Edward, doting 'Papa Saltburn' of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, dear brother of Adam and the late Jean, former crew member of the Invergordon Lifeboat and valued member of the Saltburn community he will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral service to be held at Inverness Crematorium on Thursday 11th December 2025, commencing at 12 noon. All friends respectfully invited. Live stream details can be found online at: mairiurquhartandson.com/live-stream/

Family flowers only please, but a donation, if desired, can be made at the service, or online for The RNLI, Invergordon.

For those wishing to pay their respects, funeral cortege to leave from Eddie's home, 72 Saltburn, Invergordon at approximately 10.30 a.m. travelling onwards to Inverness Crematorium.

We have wonderful memories of Eddie from when we visited during our holidays in 2003 and 2004. In that short time, we got to know him as a wonderful man with whom we could have great conversations. One of life’s true gentlemen who I had the privilege to call Daddy 2. Eddie seamlessly stepped into the Dad role when my own Dad passed. I hope you knew how much that meant to me and how much I loved you and being called daughter no. 3. I will treasure my memories of fun times with you and all the worldly advice you gave me. I will miss you and know that we shall meet and laugh again sometime. Lots of love Daddy 2 from Carol 🫂💔

It was with real sadness that we heard the news about Eddie. His passing was so sudden, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him on the street.
When we first moved in, he was one of the first people to offer a warm welcome. His kindness and friendly chats made such a difference as we settled in.
Our thoughts are with Marie, his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
